Assalamualaikum and good day to all.
It's been a little over a month since 'ProjekUMBI16/17' took place and on 26/5/2017, we presented our project in front of our lecturers, bioinfo staffs and seniors. I was a nervous wreck and I feel like I could've done better for the presentation but alhamdulillah everything went well. All the eight of us felt like there's nothing that can do us wrong and that we could conquer anything if we're together. I honestly think so too. I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my years in university with them and see how that'll turn out. A big thanks to Dr. Arpah who guided us from the planning stage till the end and bared with our nonsense and childish act. Thanks you Dr. for the invaluable advice as well as experience that you've taught us.
As for the children at PEKEAS, I definitely hope that we'll pay them a visit during Ramadhan or Eid and do more activities that could help them develop their soft skills and maybe also their English skills. I think that despite being orphans, they are recieving much love from each other as well as the outside community. That's maybe the reason why the children at PEKEAS are all cheerful and active despite their heart-wrenching story.
Lastly, I hope that 'ProjekUMBI' will be an ongoing project the eight of us can do together again in the future. It really is a fun experience and I don't think I 'd mind if we organize an event like this again during the next semester.
